RB26DETT Tech Video : Tomei vs Jun Oil Pump

A quick video comparision of a Tomei oil pump to a Jun oil pump. All the serious cars I work on, I try and put a Tomei oil pump on them. Cars like Jeffs R32.4

Hi Sean!
Yesterday I had some rounds of spirited driving when suddenly at one instance I noticed my oil pressure was reading about 2.5 to 3 bar at idle!! I sort of panicked parked the car and turned off the car and started it again right after... oil press. was back at 1.5 bar. I have a Blitz aftermarket gauge by the way, don't know if it was just a glitch on the Blitz gauge w/c I hope it is.

By the way, I have a Nismo oil pump and sometimes after high rev runs and decelerating I notice the oil press will drop about 1 bar at idle and will go back again to 1.5 after about a minute. I fill the oil about 80% of the hash marks on the dip stick. Some say to overfill the oil a bit w/c I'm a bit anxious to do. What's your stand on this?

You might have a loose connection on the gage. Back it up with a mechanical gage to double check.

I like overfilling the pan a little. I have posted some pics of playing with oil levels. The stock engine has decent baffling in it.
